Skin Analysis Stockholm – Understand Your Skin Before Choosing Treatment

You do not need to know whether you need chemical peeling, microneedling, SkinBooster, fillers or another aesthetic treatment before you book. The purpose of your skin analysis and consultation is to help you understand your skin, your goals and which options are genuinely relevant.

At Gloss & Floss in Södermalm, we combine a personal consultation, professional skin assessment and a mobile digital skin scanner. The aim is to give you a clear and realistic plan before you decide whether to proceed with treatment.

You are not booking a procedure first — you are booking clarity before making a treatment decision.

Why begin with a skin analysis and consultation?

Many people know what they would like to improve but are unsure which treatment is appropriate. That is completely normal. Two people with similar concerns may have very different skin conditions and therefore need different approaches.

The consultation is designed to reduce uncertainty and give you a more informed starting point before treatment.

Understand your skin

Get a clearer picture of your skin’s current characteristics and what may be worth addressing.

Prioritise correctly

Separate what may be useful now from what can reasonably wait.

Compare options

Understand why one treatment may be more relevant than another for your goals.

Leave with a plan

Move from general concerns to a clear next step without having to choose the procedure yourself.

Digital skin analysis with a mobile skin scanner

We use a mobile digital skin scanner to support the visual and professional assessment of your skin. The analysis can provide information about factors such as hydration, elasticity, pigmentation, pore visibility and other relevant skin characteristics.

Scanner findings are always interpreted together with the rest of the consultation. Technology supports the assessment; it does not replace professional judgement or the conversation about your goals.

Relevant findings may also be documented when useful for following changes in your skin over time.

The conversation matters just as much

What we can see on the skin is only part of the picture. During the consultation we may also discuss:

  • what you would personally like to improve
  • your current skin-care routine
  • previous aesthetic or skin treatments
  • sensitivity and previous skin reactions
  • relevant medical considerations
  • how much treatment and recovery realistically fit your lifestyle

Skin analysis is guidance – not a medical skin diagnosis

Digital skin analysis supports aesthetic skin assessment, treatment planning and follow-up. It is not a substitute for medical or dermatological diagnosis of skin disease.

If something appears to require medical assessment rather than aesthetic treatment, we recommend that it is evaluated at the appropriate level of healthcare before cosmetic treatment is planned.

How your skin analysis and consultation work

The consultation is structured to give you useful information and enough space to ask questions before making a treatment decision.

1

Conversation & goals

We start with what you notice yourself, what you would like to improve and your previous experience with skin care or aesthetic treatments.

2

Mobile skin analysis

The digital skin scanner provides additional information to support the visual assessment of your skin.

3

Professional assessment

We consider the scanner findings, your skin condition, your goals and other relevant factors together.

4

Your plan forward

You receive a clear recommendation about what may be relevant now, what can wait and what the most reasonable next step may be.

What do you leave the consultation with?

A clearer treatment pathway

The aim is that you understand why a certain option may be recommended and how it relates to your skin and your goals.

  • which concern may be worth prioritising
  • which treatment options are relevant
  • whether treatment should happen now or later
  • whether a treatment series may be useful
  • what aftercare or follow-up may be needed

No automatic treatment

A consultation does not have to end with a treatment. In some situations the right next step may be to wait, adjust your home-care routine, allow the skin to stabilise or consider another pathway.

The most important thing is that the recommendation is clear, realistic and understandable to you.

Possible treatment pathways after your skin analysis

The appropriate treatment is always decided individually. These are examples of pathways that may be discussed after consultation.

Skin renewal & texture

For concerns involving texture, radiance or superficial unevenness, options such as chemical peeling or microneedling may be discussed.

Chemical peeling · Medical microneedling

Hydration & skin quality

If your main goal is hydration, skin quality or radiance, skin care or SkinBooster may be discussed depending on suitability.

Volume & facial balance

If your goal involves volume, contour or facial balance, a separate assessment is needed before any injectable treatment is planned.

Lifting & structural concerns

If your concern relates to lifting or structural change, other aesthetic options may be discussed after an individual suitability assessment.

Regenerative skin planning

For selected goals, growth-factor treatment or another skin-renewal approach may form part of a broader treatment plan.

Growth factor treatment

When treatment is not needed yet

Sometimes the most appropriate next step is to give the skin time, adjust home care or review progress before planning a clinic treatment.

Safety before treatment

Different aesthetic treatments require different levels of assessment, information and planning. A consultation therefore does not automatically mean that treatment should be carried out immediately.

For aesthetic injection treatments, Gloss & Floss follows the applicable Swedish requirements regarding information, consent and reflection time. Before a first aesthetic injection treatment, at least two days of reflection time applies.

Before any relevant treatment, we also explain the proposed approach, expected course, risks, aftercare and costs so that you can make an informed decision.

Frequently asked questions about skin analysis

What is a skin analysis?

A skin analysis is a structured assessment of your skin’s current characteristics. At Gloss & Floss, personal consultation and visual assessment are supported by information from a mobile digital skin scanner.

What can the mobile skin scanner show?

The scanner supports assessment of factors such as hydration, elasticity, pigmentation, pore visibility and other relevant skin characteristics. The findings are always interpreted together with the professional assessment.

Is skin analysis the same as a medical skin diagnosis?

No. The analysis is used for aesthetic skin assessment and treatment planning. It does not replace medical or dermatological diagnosis of skin disease.

Do I need to know which treatment I want before booking?

No. The consultation is particularly useful if you are unsure. You can come with your concerns and goals, and we help you understand which options may be relevant.

What is included in the consultation?

The consultation includes discussion of your goals and previous experience, professional skin assessment, analysis with a mobile digital skin scanner and an individual recommendation for the next step.

How long does the consultation take?

The length of the visit may vary depending on your questions and how extensive the assessment needs to be. Your booking will show the time allocated for the consultation.

How much does skin analysis cost in Stockholm?

Consultation with digital skin scanner costs 495 SEK. If you proceed with treatment, the consultation fee is deducted.

Can you recommend that I do not have treatment?

Yes. The purpose of the consultation is to identify a reasonable next step, not to automatically lead to treatment. Sometimes waiting, adjusting home care or reviewing the skin later is more appropriate.

Can treatment be carried out immediately after the skin analysis?

It depends on which treatment is being considered and whether it is appropriate. Some non-injection skin treatments may sometimes be planned in connection with the consultation, while other treatments require separate planning.

What if I am interested in fillers or another injectable treatment?

Aesthetic injection treatments are subject to specific Swedish rules. Before a first treatment, the process includes required information, consent and at least two days of reflection time before treatment can be carried out.

How do you follow my skin and treatment plan over time?

Follow-up depends on the treatment or skin-care plan you choose. When relevant, skin findings and treatment progress can be reviewed and compared over time.

What happens if my skin needs medical assessment instead?

If a skin concern is not appropriate for aesthetic treatment, we recommend assessment at the appropriate level of healthcare before aesthetic treatment is planned.
